The band you’ll still be wearing in thirty years.

My father chose it for me three years ago. The two rails have worn at slightly different rates because one is wider, so the ring now has a visible top and bottom. I would not change that.

My father ordered it and had it sent to my flat. It arrived when the tracking said it would. The facets are individually cut, and you can see where one meets the next if you hold it close, which he wanted me to check.

Day one I thought I'd ordered something too plain. By the end of the week I had worked out that the plainness is the point and the steps do all the work.

It came out of the box cold and heavier than I expected, around 16 grams, enough that my hand registered it dropping into my palm. The chevron is polished against a matte face, so the two surfaces feel different under a thumb.

My brother ordered it and it turned up in four days. The band is 10mm wide and solid through rather than hollowed to save weight, which you can tell by setting it down on a table and listening.

I wrote in to ask whether the etched grooves would trap grit, and support said to rinse it under warm water, which has been enough. It has stayed on since.

Out of the box, size 10, it felt rigid next to the Enso silicone band I had been wearing at work. A week later that rigidity read as substance rather than discomfort. The box held the ring, a sizing set and a cloth.

Ordered on a Sunday and had it Wednesday. It comes in at around 16 grams and balances flat on the finger. The polish is even across the whole outer face with no flat spot where a machine would have stopped.

Size 11, close at the base. Two years of daily wear and the blasted surface has held its coarseness everywhere except directly under the finger, where it has gone slightly smooth. Not visible on the hand.

My husband had it sized to a 7 from a ring I wear on the other hand, and it went on at the base first go. The bevels are cut at a shallow angle, which keeps the band looking narrower than it is.

Eighteen months of daily wear before I would say anything. The band it replaced was flat and rolled constantly; this one has two raised edges either side of the dish, and those edges give the finger something to sit between. It has not turned once.

My wife chose it and had it sized to an 11 before our June wedding, which she managed off an old ring without asking me. It went on at the base first go and I wore it at the ceremony.
